Role: General Manager
Jim Conlon, General Manager, has overall responsibility on behalf of Glen Water for the delivery of Project Omega, Northern Ireland Water's £122m capital investment programme to provide wastewater treatment and sludge disposal in Northern Ireland to ensure compliance with EU directives.
Jim has substantial experience in delivering major public private partnerships, across the world. He has delivered a contract to provide water and wastewater services to the seven million inhabitants of Metro Manila in the Phlippines, managed and operated seven joint venture contracts for water services in China, and recently the Scottish Water Solutions PPP. Jim has also worked as an external consultant to the United National Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.
He is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Water and Environmental Managers and holds an MSc in Public Health Engineering and a BSc Hons Environmental Studies.
